Fasti Ecclesiae states that Beatrice's son, James Rose, was admitted to the parish of Strachan before 1685. If this was in fact so, it is difficult to see how Beatrice could have been the daughter of James Skene, 12th of that Ilk. More likely, she was his sister.


Beatrice married Henry ROSE 2nd of Larachmoir, son of Alexander ROSE of Larachmoir and Janet IRVINE. (Henry ROSE 2nd of Larachmoir was born about 1525.)
