NISBET, John

   Cause of his death was carcinoma of the pancreas and of the liver.³

Alexr. Nisbet gave notice of his son, John's, birth, at Edinburgh, on 7 December 1876 before the registrar, John Minto.

John was the second youngest of his family recorded by the 1881 census living at 5 Brown Street, Edinburgh. He was aged 4 years and had been born in St Cuthbert's parish, Edinburgh.

In 1891 John Nisbet was recorded by the census for Edinburgh living at 5 Brown Street, his family home, which his sister, Eleanor, and her husband Henry McKeen, now ran, as pseudo parents, after the death of Alexander and Isabella Nisbet. John was 14 years old and worked as a tailor. He had been born in Edinburgh.

John Nisbet died in 1936. His death certificate recorded him as a 'dock labourer married to Elizabeth Alexander'. His recorded age at death was 59 years. He died in hospital, and his usual residential address was noted in the death certificate as 18 Newhaven Road, Leith. Both of his parents were deceased. ^{2 3 4}
