"Sir Robert was survived by his wife, Marion Abernethy, who, after his decease, married, as his second wife, Sir John Scrymgeour, Constable of Dundee, by whom she had a son, John, born prior to 20 May 1431, when he is mentioned in a charter by the Constable in favour of John Scrymgeour of Henriston. She was alive in 1466."
