"Sir Patrick, who, in 1331, as son of Sir Alexander, son of the Earl, quit-claimed his rights in Swinwood to the monks of Coldingham. He was present at the battle of Durham in 1346, and also at Poictiers in 1356 ; but died and was buried at Candia, on his way to the Holy Land in 1356-57."
