"The Provost was laird of the estate of Dilspro, now known as Grandholm."
"There was issue by both marriages, but the majority of the children died in infancy, as shown by the accounts of the Master of Kirk Works, where the interment dues of no less than six children appear as having been paid for between March, 1654, and June, 1663...
The only children known to have survived their father were Thomas, who succeeded to Dilspro, died 19th September, 1698; and
Janet, baptised 4th October, 1642, who married Robert Skene, merchant, and afterwards treasurer of the burgh."
