In the 1851 census Janet Williamson, a pauper, was living in Muirkirk village, Ayrshire. Her age was recorded as 69 years and her place of birth as Crawford, Lanarkshire.

When Janet died in 1863 she was recorded as 82 years of age, and the "widow of Thomas White General Labourer". Her parents were deceased. ^{2 3}

  Medical Notes:

Adam Whyte, son of the deceased woman, gave notice of Janet's death before the registrar at Muirkirk on the 28 April 1863. ²

Janet married Thomas WHITE. (Thomas WHITE was born about 1780 in Ayrshire, Scotland ⁵ and died before 27 April 1863 ^{1 2}.)
