Other names for Patrick were MAITLAND, Patrick of Auchencrieve 1 and MAITLAND, Patrick of Auchincrieve.3 User ID: D283. General Notes: "VI. Patrick Maitland of Pitrichie. He had also Cairnfechil and Auchincreive. He was served heir to his father in 1615. This Patrick Maitland wrote a short poem in memory of Dr. Patrick Forbes, Bishop of Aberdeen. He also, in 1632, presented to the kirk of Udny a communion cup of silver, and another to the church of Methlick, bearing the inscription - Patrick married Katherine BURNET, daughter of Alexander BURNET 12th of Leys and Katherine GORDON, 27 September 1607(contract).1 (Katherine BURNET was born about 1595.) Marriage Notes: "Katherine (Burnet), married (Contract at Crathes, dated 27th September, 1607), Patrick Maitland of Auchincreef. Her tocher was 5000 merks." |
