Powell were living in East Franklin, Armstrong county in Pennsylvania, with three daughters and two sons aged from 9 years to 1 year of age. In addition an aunt, Mary severline, and a nephew, Turner H. Steer, were recorded in the household. All were born in Pennsylvania except the aunt who was German-born. William's father had been born in Wales, his mother in Pennsylvania. Both of Annie's parents were born in Germany, as were Mary's. William was a carpenter by trade. The couple had been married for 10 years and had had five children in total. Wilbur married Annie Louise GAISER, daughter of John L. GAISER and Margaret SEVERLINE. (Annie Louise GAISER was born in November 1870 in Pennsylvania, USA 3.) |
