In the 1850 census Mary Powell, aged 63 years, was living with her son William, a farmer, in Perry Yownship, Pennsylvania. She was a widow, aged 63 years, and had been born in "Wales England".

In 1860 Mary Powell, aged 71 years, was recorded living with Thomas Powell, a farm hand aged 31 years, and Wm A Vinton, aged 10 years. beside them lived Mary's son William, a farmer, and his family.

A Mary Powell died in Perry Township in November 1869, aged 80 years, who had been born in Wales. ^{1 2 4}

Mary married John POWELL. (John POWELL was born about 1788 in Wales ^{3 4} and died in September 1849 in Perry, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, USA ⁴.). The cause of his death was palsy.⁴
