John married Elizabeth LUMSDEN, daughter of Reverend Mr James LUMSDEN of Corrachree, Minister of Strathdon, then of Towie parish and Mary GRANT of Rippachy, on 1 February 1763.¹ (Elizabeth LUMSDEN was baptised on 18 July 1741 ¹ and died on 9 February 1806 ².)
