General Notes: "The estate of Stoneywood passed away from the Moirs in 1789, when Maria Moir, with consent, disponed the lands to James Forbes of Seton. The family is now represented by Dr. William F. Skene, Historiographer Royal, who is descended from Jane, the other surviving daughter of James IV., and last laird of Stoneywood." (page 371) Jean married George SKENE of Rubislaw, son of George SKEEN of Rubislaw and Helen THOMSON, on 16 October 1766 in Old Machar parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.1 2 (George SKENE of Rubislaw was baptised on 25 August 1736 in Old Machar parish, Aberdeen, Scotland, died on 24 January 1776 and was buried in Aberdeen, Scotland.)
