Note: That Helen's father was *Thomas* Erskine of Pittodrie seems doubtful. She is too late to be the daughter of helen Auchinleck, and too early to be the daughter of Margaret Burnett or Anne Forbes. Moreover, no Helen is listed as a daughter of these. She is most probably a *sister* rather than a daughter of Thoms Erskine of Pittodrie. ¹
