Another name for Jean was GORDON, Jane.1 3 User ID: K434. Jean married Charles LUMSDEN in Mill of Auchindoir, son of John LUMSDEN of Auchindoir and Agnes GORDON, in 1709.1 (Charles LUMSDEN in Mill of Auchindoir was born about 1686 and was buried in Kildrummy Churchyard, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 4.) Marriage Notes: Charles (Lumsden), the second son, married in 1709 Jane Gordon, and with her got the estate of Harlaw. He became a litster (dyer) in Aberdeen, and seems to have prospered. The value of his property at his death in 1720 is said to be £23,296, 3s. 4d. Scots. He had two sons - John, who died young, and David, who went to Jamaica, made a fortune, and died there unmarried - and four daughters." |
