The 1841 census for Methlick in Aberdeenshire recorded Jackoleen Hardie living with her family at Auchencrieve. She was aged 8 years and was born in Aberdeenshire.

In 1861 Jackqulina Johan Hardie was recorded by the census for Drumoak parish, Aberdeenshire, living in the household of Alexander Allan and Isabella Sang at East Mains of Drum, working there as a domestic servant. She was unmarried, aged 27 years, and had been born in Methlick parish.

A woman named as Jacqulina Johan Hardie gave birth to an illegitimate child in Aberdeen on 8 July 1867. She registered her child's birth on the 27 July, signing her name. Her occupation was noted as domestic servant.

In 1881 a woman named Johan Hardie was recorded by the census for Saint Nicholas registration district in Aberdeen living with her son Frederick at 7 Rennies Wynd. She was 46 years old and had been born in Methlic. She worked as a laundress and was single.

Johna Hardie died in 1888. Her death certificate recorded her as a single woman who had worked as a laundress. She was aged 53 years at the time of her death. Her father, William Hardie, was deceased and her mother, Mary, still living.

In the 1944 death certificate of her son, Charles, Jackqulina Johann Hardie was recorded as a "domestic servant deceased". Her granddaughter, Eliza, was the informant of the death. 1 3 4

Edward Linton LRCP & S Ed. certified the cause of death.

Fredk W. Hardie, son and inmate, who had been present where his mother died, gave notice of her death before the registrar on 16 April 1888.
