Margaret married Andrew CULLEN, son of Alexander CULLEN Provost of Aberdeen and Elspet LUMSDEN. (Andrew CULLEN was baptised on 24 September 1565 in Saint Nicholas parish, Aberdeen, Scotland 4.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Andrew, baptised 24th September, 1565, and married to Margaret Skene, a daughter of James Skene of Bandodell"

from Aldermen and Provosts

Note:

According to the
Memorials of the Family of Skene of Skene, Margaret may have married Andrew Cullen, but Munro's account of her parentage was erroneous. She was a daughter of a much later James Skene, great-nephew of the one mentioned by Munro.

"Margaret Skene. There is, on 25th May, 1590, Renunciation by Elizabeth Lumsden, spouse of Alexander Cullen, Burgess of Aberdeen, in favor of Margaret Skene, dochter lawful to James Skene of Badindodill, future spouse to Andrew Cullen, sone eldest to the said Alexander Cullen and Elizabeth Lumsden, of the town and land of Cottoun. Either this marriage did not take place, or she became soon a widow, for we find her, in 1600, wife of William Forbes of Pittalochie, and she was soon again a widow, for there is, in 1620, an action of Removing against Margaret Skene, relict of William Forbes of Pittalochie, from the lands of Kinaldie."

Margaret next married William FORBES 2nd of Pittalachie, son of Patrick FORBES 1st of Pittalachie and Annabella FORBES, before 1600.1 2 (William FORBES 2nd of Pittalachie was born about 1567 and died before 1620.)
