   Another name for Michael was McNARNAY, Michael.2

  General Notes:

Michael was said to be a scholar, aged 9 years, in the 1871 census.

In 1881 the census for Blairs RC College at Maryculter in Kincardineshire, a junior seminary for student priests, recorded a Michael McNairney who was studying there for the priesthood. He was aged 19 years and had been born in Airdrie, Lanarkshire.

When Michael McNairney died in 1929 his death certificate recorded that he was a Roman Catholic clergyman of 67 years of age, and as such a single man. Both of his parents were deceased. 1 3

Stephen J. Henry MB ChB certified the cause of death.

Agnes Murray, a niece of the deceased man, of Leven Villa, Airdrie, gave notice of his death before the registrar, James M. Grieve, at Glasgow on 29 April 1929.
