McCONVILL, Ellen ^{1 2}

   Other names for Ellen were McCONVILLE, Ellen,³ McCONVILLE, Helen ⁵ and McCONWELL, Helen.⁶

  General Notes:

Ellen was baptised by Father Gerald Thomas O'Byrne. Her baptismal sponsors were James Fury and Margaret Welsh.

In 1861 Helen McConville was recorded by the census for Old Monkland living with her parents and her two brothers. She was recorded as 19 years old.

In March 1865 Ellen's 18 month old son died of measles. Only Ellen's name was recorded in the death certificate, where she was recorded as a farm labourer. Her father gave notice of the child's death.

Ellen Lawson, of No 10 Shuttle Street or Lane, Glasgow, was the informant of her father's death in 1888. She made her X mark. ^{2 3 5 7}
