  General Notes:

Helen McConville was recorded by the 1861 census living in Old Monkland with her husband and three children. Her age was recorded as 40 years.

In her death certificate of 1867 Ellen McConvill was recorded as the wife of Anthony McConvell [sic] mineral labourer. Her recorded age was 48 years. 2 3

R. Young MD certified the causes of death.

Anthony McConvill [sic], husband of the deceased who was present, gave notice of her death before the registrar, Andrew Baird, at Coatdyke on October 8 1867. 3


Ellen married Anthony McCONVILLE, son of John McCONVILLE and Sarah HAMMILL. (Anthony McCONVILLE was born about 1819 in Ireland 2 and died 13 October 1888 at 5.30 pm in McMillan's Land, Calderbank, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was debility over 3 months.
