Second son of Alexander Thomson, advocate (1625). M.A. App. to his father. Dean of Faculty, Mar. Coll., 1665. Married, with issue, of whom :
1. Alexander, M.A., Mar. Coll.; under master Grammar School, 1679 to 1684, when demitted.
2. Patrick, M.A., Mar. Coll., 1686; held the same appointmentbut was deprived, 1717.

Died March, 1667."
