Sheriff Depute of Aberdeenshire, 1629, onwards. Proprietor of Cults, near Aberdeen. Notary Public. Honorary burgess of
Aberdeen, admitted 18th September, 1629. Married, first, Jean (died 7th October, 1651), eldest dau. of William Raye, advocate (1593). Married, second, before 21st June, 1653, Elizabeth Hay, with issue :
1. John, guild burgess of Aberdeen, admitted 30th May, 1679, and succeeded to Cults.
2. Robert, advocate (1648).
3. Alexander, advocate (1680).
Died 21st September, 1656."

Alexander married Jeane RAY, daughter of William RAYE Advocate and Katherine ANDERSONE, on 4 October 1629 in Saint Nicholas parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.1 (Jeane RAY was born in April 1603 in Saint Nicholas parish, Aberdeen, Scotland 1 and died on 7 October 1651 3.)


Alexander next married Elspet HAY on 12 October 1652 in Saint Nicholas parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.1 2 (Elspet HAY was born about 1625.)
