Richard lived a short life and died in 1877. He was 6 years of age when he died. Another child, also named Richard, was born in 1883. ¹

Alexander Nisbet, the boy's father, who was present where the death occurred, gave notice of Richard's death before the registrar, John Minto, at Edinburgh on 30 August 1877. ¹
