Michael Hughes, RC Clergyman, married the couple, after proclamation of banns, according to the forms of the RC Church. The witnesses were Charles McCabe and Lizzie O'Rourke.
Andrew O'Rourke was a coal miner and unmarried. His age was 21 years and he lived at Waddells Land Mossend. His father Daniel was deceased.
Mary McCabe was 21 years of age as well and worked in a chemical work. She lived at Waddells Land Mossend and was a single woman.
The marriage was registered at Bellshill on 19 May 1898. 1
