Other names for Rosa were FEELY, Rose and HUTCHISON, Rose.2 General Notes: A woman called Rose Feely was recorded by the 1851 UK census living as a lodger in a lodging house in Stewart Street, Carluke, Lanarkshire. Her occupation was noted as unknown. She was aged 21 years and had been born in Ireland. A number of other women, girls and female children, Irish and Scots born, also lived there as lodgers. Rosa married George HUTCHESON, son of Thomas HUTCHESON and Mary GARDENER, on 29 December 1855 in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (George HUTCHESON was born in 1832 in Lanark Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland and died after 11 October 1863.) Marriage Notes: The wedding between George and Rose was a Church of Scotland rite. The minister, Alex. Henderson MA was the incumbent of St Mary's Episcopal Church in Hamilton. No witnesses were named. |
