  General Notes:

The 1881 census for the village of Whitlett, in the parish of St Quivox, Ayrshire, recorded the widowed James George, living at Blackhouse Crescent with his five sons and two daughters. David George, was the second youngest of the sons. He was 7 years of age and was at school. His birthplace was Kilmaurs,
Ayrshire.

In the 1891 census for St Quivox David was recorded living in his father's home. He was an apprentice fishmoner and unmarried. His birthplace was noted as Kilmaurs and his age as 17 years.

David George, son of James George, was the informant at the death of James in Auchincruive, Ayrshire, in 1902. David's address was recorded then as 7 Tryfield Place, Ayr.

David died in March 1943. His death certificate records that he was 'found dead in bed about 6.45 pm, last seen alive about 8.00 am at 24 Hawkhill Avenue Ayr'. His age was recorded as 69 years. Both of his parents were deceased. David was an assistant fishmonger married to Janet Glen. 1 3 4 5

David was seen after death by Elizabeth Hainsworth MB ChB.

D. George, David's son, of 12 Allison Street, Ayr, gave notice of his death before the registrar, Edward Pow, at Ayr on March 16 1943. 3


David married Janet GLENN. (Janet GLENN was born about 1873 and died after 15 March 1943.)
