In 1871 the census for Hamilton recorded Robert, aged 10 years, living at 3 James Street. He was a scholar, and his birthplace was Ireland.

Robert was recorded in the 1881 census for Hamilton living with his mother and seven other family members at 20 Church Street. He was unmarried, aged 18 years, and had been born in Ireland. He was employed as a coal miner.

It was possibly this Robert, recorded as "Robert Feley", who was a witness at his sister, Mary's wedding to Peter Quigley in 1889 in Hamilton. There were two of the Feely family who acted then as witnesses.

Robert was recorded in the 1891 census for Hamilton. He was living with his mother and seven other family members at 21 Castle Street. He was unmarried, aged 28 years, and had been born in Ireland. He was employed as a coal miner.

In 1899 Robert was the informant when his brother, John, died from drowning. His address then was noted as 54 Viewpark Rows, Bellshill. He made his X mark.

The 1901 census recorded Robert Feeley living as a boarder at the home of his sister, Ellen Maxwell, in Bellshill at 51 Viewpark Street. His brother, Patrick, also boarded there, and their niece, Maggie. Robert was recorded as aged 40 years, and his birthplace as Ireland. He worked as a coal hewer and was unmarried.

When Robert Feeley died in 1932 his death certificate recorded him as being aged 70 years, a general labourer, and single. Both of his parents were deceased. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

D. Livingston Kerr MB ChB certified the cause of death.

Patrick Feeley, brother of the deceased who had been present, gave notice of Robert's death before the registrar James Frame, at Hamilton on May 2 1932. 3
