Harriet Reid, of 34 Bank Street Paisley, daughter of Arthur Tweedly, gave notice of her father's death before the registrar at Glasgow on 3 March 1941. ⁵

Harriet married Robert Hogg REID, son of Thomas Kirk REID and Mary McGhee HOGG, on 15 February 1918 in George Temperance Hotel, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.¹ (Robert Hogg REID was born about 1893 ¹.)

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the United Free Church of Scotland. D. J. Allison married the couple. The witnesses were John J. Irvine and Jemima Marshall.

The groom, Robert, was an engineer's clerk in the Officer Cadet Battalion. He was aged 24 years. His father and mother were already deceased. His usual residence was given as 10 Glen Street Paisley.

The bride, Harriet, was 23 years and worked as a threadmill worker. Her address was recorded as 9 Abbey Terrace Paisley.

The marriage was registered at Paisley on 16 February 1918. ¹
