Cause of his death was surfalous (probably sulphurous) myelitis.3 General Notes: The 1851 UK census for Dalry in Ayrshire recorded Mary Gibson as the head of the household living at 4 Kersland Row. The household consisted of herself, her two sons and two daughters. Thomas, the eldest, was recorded as 18 years of age. His birthplace was Dalry, Ayrshire, and he worked as a coal miner. Research Notes: DIRNCONNER Medical Notes: The cause of death was certified by Dr Mark Morrison MB CM. Thomas married Agnes DONALDSON, daughter of William DONALDSON and Elisabeth PORTER, on 31 October 1862 in 5 James Street, Tarbolton, Ayrshire, Scotland. (Agnes DONALDSON was born 1840s in Tarbolton, Ayrshire, Scotland 2 4 5 6 7 and died after 15 April 1910 5 6 7 8.) Marriage Notes: The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. The minister officiating was David Ritchie, minister of Tarbolton. The witnesses were Mary Mcradey (?) and Martha Wilson. |
