  General Notes:

William was a witness at the marriage of James Gebbie to Margaret Tweedley in Hamilton in 1889.

In 1891 the census recorded William Gebbie's age as 26 years. He was a coal miner, unmarried, and living with his parents.

William was not in the family entry in the census of 1901.

William's father, Andrew, died in 1910 and William, who was present where the death occurred, was the informant of his death before the registrar at Hamilton on 5 December 1910. His address was noted as 16 Wilson Terrace, Cadzow. ^{4 5 6 7}
