"very ill Daur. Mary Mrs Paterson 25 Kelvinside Avenue Paisley"

In 1905 James applied again for relief to Govan. In the list of his children 'Mary Jane 21' is mentioned. The inspector's report adds that she was born in Hamilton, and her residence was unknown.

In June 1930 when her father, James, died, the informant of his death was his daughter, Mary J. Catterson, whose address then was noted as 99 Storie Street Paisley.

When Mary Jane Catterson died in 1939, her death certificate recorded her as 'married to Thomas Catterson Fish Restaurateur'. Her recorded age at death was 55 years. Her usual residence was 9 Underwood Lane, Paisley. Both of her parents were then deceased. 2 3 4
