General Notes:
Esther, lawful daughter of James Cavenagh and Mary Smith, was baptised by Fr John McDermott in St Margaret's Airdrie. Her baptismal sponsors were her uncle, Owen Cavanagh, and her aunt, Alice Cavanagh.
No trace of Esther has been found in the 1851 census, although her father James, a widower, and her younger brother James are recorded. 1
