FEELY, Margaret 2

  • Born: 1847
  • Marriage (1): Unknown
  • Marriage (2): CULLEN, Francis on 15 July 1870 in St Vincent's RC Chapel, Duke Street, Glasgow, Scotland 1 2

  General Notes:

In 1865 Margaret Feely was a sponsor at the baptism of Patrick, son of Margaret's brother, Robert Feely, and his wife Mary, in St Mary's RC Chapel Hamilton. The second sponsor was William McGuire.

A Margaret Feely had a son in October 1866 in Hamilton, with no father named. The child was called Robert. This name does not seem to occur frequently, especially with the surname Feely. Circumstances suggest the mother was the Margaret Feely who was daughter of Robert, and sister of Robert, Feely. 3

Margaret married.

Margaret next married Francis CULLEN, son of Henry CULLEN and Rose McCANN, on 15 July 1870 in St Vincent's RC Chapel, Duke Street, Glasgow, Scotland.1 2 (Francis CULLEN was born in 1844.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place 'according to the forms of the Church of Rome'.

Margaret Feely was a seamstress aged 22 years. Her address was 201 High Street Glasgow. She made her X mark. She had not been married before.

Peter Ferguson, registrar, registered the marriage at Glasgow on 18 July 1870. 2
