  General Notes:

In 1901 Norman Lochhead was recorded by the census living in Edinburgh with his mother and two brothers. He was 6 years old and had been born in England. He was at school.

When Norman Victor Lochhead died in 1930, his death certificate recorded him 35 years old, a bookseller's assistant, married to Sarah Thomson. His usual address was 19 Caledonian Crescent Edinburgh. His father was deceased.

David A. Smith MB certified the causes of death.

Sarah Lochhead, widow of the deceased man, of 19 Caledonian Crescen Edinburgh, and who was present where he died, gave notice of Norman's death before the registrar on 30 August 1930 at George Square district registry office Edinburgh.


Norman married Sarah Agnes THOMPSON, daughter of James THOMPSON and Mary Ann BERRY, on 11 June 1920 in St Mary's Cathedral, Palmerston Place, Edinburgh, Scotland. (Sarah Agnes THOMPSON was born about 1897 and died after 1930.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the forms of the Episcopal Church in Scotland. The minister was Eric H. Brereton, Chaplain of St Mary's Cathedral Edinburgh. The witnesses were John Wilson Young and Lily Thompson.

Norman Victor Lochhead was a single man aged 25 years. He worked as an iron driller and lived at 96 Dalry Road Edinburgh. His father was deceased.

Sarah Agnes Thompson was a single woman who was a biscuit factory worker. She was 23 years of age and lived at 7 Newton Street Edinburgh. Her father was deceased.

The marriage was registered at Edinburgh on 14 June 1920.
