General Notes: The 1871 Cenus for Abbey parish, Paisley, recorded John Lochhead as the head of a household living at Station Lodge, Johnstone. Including himself there were eight persons in the household: John, his wife, Margaret, their three sons and two daughters, and Margaret's mother Margaret Barbour. John's wife Margaret Lochhead was recorded as 33 years old and born in Lochwinnoch. She was described as a carter's wife. Margaret married John LOCHHEAD, son of Alexander LOCHHEAD and Agnes WILLIAMSON, on 18 April 1862 in Park of Barnaigh, Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, Scotland. (John LOCHHEAD was born in 1842 in Straiton Parish, Ayrshire, Scotland, baptised on 15 July 1842 in Straiton Parish, Ayrshire, Scotland 1 and died 29 April 1886 at 3.50 am in Napier Street, Linwood, Renfrewshire, Scotland.). The cause of his death was intussusception of bowels over 2 days. Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated according to the forms of established Church of Scotland. The minister was William Graham. John Couperthwaite and Agnes Burns were witnesses. |
