  General Notes:

Unity Quigley was 6 years old when recorded by the 1871 census. She had been born in Glasgow and was a scholar. She lived at 580 Dobbies Loan.

The 1881 census recorded Unity Tweedley as a power loom weaver. She was unmarried, aged 16 years, and had been born in Glasgow. She was the eldest of the six children recorded there.

Unity's father applied in June 1901 for parochial relief and described her as one of his children thus:
"Unity, aged 48 years, born Dobbies Loan, married to William Rae, blacksmith, residence unknown" 3 4


Unity married William RAE. (William RAE was born about 1860.)


Unity next married William QUIGLEY, son of John QUIGLEY and Bridget O'DONNELL.1 (William QUIGLEY was born on 1 Mar 1868 in Anderston, Glasgow, Scotland 2.)
