McNAIRN, Mary ²

  General Notes:

The 1851 census for Old Monkland recorded Mary living with her family there. She was the eldest child, aged 11 years.

In the 1855 birth certificate of his daughter Susan, Robert McNearn, Susan's father, stated that he and his wife had married in Airdrie in 1844. They had six children, two boys and two girls living, and two girls deceased, as well as one boy before marriage and one girl before marriage. ²

Mary married David QUIGLEY.¹ (David QUIGLEY was born about 1770.)

"This George Barclay repeatedly visited his aunt at Tilwhilly, and married, 20th August, 1704 (Banchory-Ternan Registers), Anna, daughter of Thomas Reid in Eslie. second son of Rev. Robert Reid, of Birness and Balnakettle, minister of Banchory-Ternan, descended from the old family of Reid of Pitfodels - her mother being Jean Burnett, daughter of Burnett of Campfield."
