When Jessie died in 1862, her death certificate recorded her age as 39 years. She was described as 'widow of Thomas Vipont married to John Lynass general merchant'.

In the death certificate of her son Lionel in 1887 Jessie was referred to as:
'Jessie Lynass formerly Vipond MS Hendry deceased'.

Thomas D. Buchanan MD certified the cause of death.

A. Vipont, son of the deceased, who had been present, informed the registrar at Glasgow, A. K. Melville, on 4 December 1862.

Janet married Frederick KANE.¹ (Frederick KANE was born about 1790 and died after 1848.)
