HENRY, Alexander
General Notes: Alexander was deceased when his daughter Jessie died in 1862. In her death certificate, his occupation was recorded as 'Satge Coachman'. Alexander married Christina HASTIE. (Christina HASTIE was born about 1795 and died before 2 Dec 1862.) Alexander next married Alexander VIPONT, son of Thomas VIPAND and Janet HENDRY.1 (Alexander VIPONT was born about 1847 and died after 2 Dec 1862.) Marriage Notes: "Catherine (Gordon), who had a romantic history. She was married in January 1495-96 to Perkin Warbeck, who claimed to be Richard, Duke of York, one of the young princes who were said to be slain in the Tower. After her husband's death on 23 November 1499, she was well treated at the court of King Henry VII., who styled her the 'White Rose.' .... She died in October 1537, her will being dated 12 October and proved in London 5 November of that year. She had no children by any of her husbands. She was apparently daughter of Elizabeth Hay." |
