Sarah Bonar Quigley's birth was registered by her father, Patrick, at Anderston, Glasgow on 10 September 1883.

The 1891 census recorded Sarah Quigley living with her parents and sister at 33 Kelvin Street, Glasgow. She was aged 7 years, born in Glasgow, and was a scholar.

Sarah Quigley was recorded by the 1901 census living with her mother and her sister at 67 Elliott Street, Glasgow. She worked, like them, as a shirtcutter. Born in Glasgow, she was a single woman and recorded as 17 years of age.

Sarah McManus, Annie Quigley's daughter, gave notice of her mother's death before the registrar at Anderston in the burgh of Glasgow on 29 October 1917. ²
