(About 1815-1880) |
VALLELY, John 1 2
Another name for John was VALLALEY, John.3 General Notes: In 1840 at St Margaret's Airdrie a 'John Vallaley' was sponsor at the baptism of Mary Hughes, lawful daughter of Michael Hughes and Jane Monaghan. This man is a possible for that, by virtue of his age, and by the fact that his mother was a Hughes by birth and he might have been a cousin of the child's father. However it is not know in if he was in New Monkland parish as early as this, though he was in this part of Scotland about 10-15 years later. Research Notes: IRISH ROOTS John married Rose MACHENDRY, daughter of Bernard McHENDRY and Mary McKENDRY, in Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Ireland. (Rose MACHENDRY was born about 1810 in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland and died 18 June 1867 at 11 am in Braehead Pit, Whitburn, West Lothan, Scotland.). The cause of her death was typhus (?) over 2 days. |
