  General Notes:

Ann McKendrick's birth certificate recorded her as an illegitimate child, and contained only the name of her mother, also Ann McKendrick, a farm servant. The birth was notified by her aunt Kate McKendrick who was present where the birth occurred. She gave notice on 26 February 1879 before the registrar at Campbeltown. 3


Ann married Duncan O'HARA, son of Duncan O'HARA and Hannah KNOWLES, on 4 February 1909 in St Aloysius RC Church, (Springburn), Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Duncan O'HARA was born about 1878-1879 in Campbeltown parish, Argyll, Scotland.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. W. J. Crofton Clerk in Orders celebrated. The witnesses were James J. O'Hara, and Flora McQuarrie.

The bridegroom was an unmarried man of 30 years of age who was a tinsmith by occupation. He lived 47 Union Road, Camelon, Falkirk.

The bride was unmarried and aged 29 years. She lived at 12 Scott Street Baillieston. She worked as a domestic servant.

The marriage was registered at Glasgow on 5 February 1909.


Note:This couple were reputed to have had a family of three boys and a girl. One son was a teacher in St Francis School in Falkirk. He regularly visited 'Corney' and Ann Smith at Baillieston each summer. This son had a son who was a doctor.
