1881 Census: Charles McCormick was the head of a household living at 13 Wellpark Street, Dennistoun, Glasgow. He was recorded as having been born in Glasgow. He was 32 years old and was a tobacco spinner. In the household lived his wife Mary McCormick, his mother in law Ann Howden, and the couple's five children. Ann Howden was recorded as 69 years of age and born in Ireland. She was a laundress. Her daughter Mary was born in Govan parish and was 35 years old. The children of Charles and Mary ranged in age from 13 years to 2 years. The eldest child was named Charles and the youngest Jane. The middle three were Ann, aged 8 years, Susan, aged 6 years, and Mary, aged 4 years. All of the children were Glasgow born.
In his death certificate of 1902, Charles was recorded as a foreman tobacco spinner, and married to Mary Howden. He was 51 years old at death. Both parents were deceased.
