General Notes:
In the baptism record of 1867 of his daughter Mary Anne, John Cavanagh was recorded as a labourer. The address was noted as Mullaghatague in Coalisland RC parish, County Tyrone.
The birth certificate of his daughter, Catharine, in 1875, recorded John as a coal miner. He was the informant of Catharine's birth.
The 1881 census for the parish of Shotts recorded John and Teresa Kavanagh and their five children living at 116 1\\2 Omoa Square, Cleland, Lanarkshire. John was a coal miner and had been born in Ireland, as had his wife and three of their children. He worked as a coal miner.
In the 1889 marriage certificate of his daughter Alice, John was recorded as a Coalminer.
In 1891 the census recorded John Cavenagh living at 170 Omoa Square, Cleland, with his wife, four children, and one boarder. John was recorded as 48 years of age and worked as a coal miner. He had been born in Ireland.
The marriage certificate of his daughter Mary Ann in 1895/6 recorded John as a labourer.
John died in 1909. His death certificate recorded him as a carting contractor and married to Theresa Hughes. His recorded age was 61 years. No information was reported in the certificate about either of his parents. 1 3 4 5 6 7 8
