Cause of his death was apoplexy. Other names for Charles were TWEEDLIE, Charles, TWEEDLY, Charles and TWEIDIE, Charles.3 General Notes: The 1851 census for Glasgow recorded Charles Tweedlie, his wife Jane, and five children living at Claybraes. A lodger aged 78 years and named John Gunn also was listed. Charles was recorded as 45 years and his wife as three years older. He had been born in Ireland worked as a scavenger. The surname of the family is indexed as as Tweidie in the GRO index. Medical Notes: A.F. MacKay, Surgeon, certified the cause of Charles's death. Charles married Jane MASON, daughter of William MASON and Elizabeth DOUGALL. (Jane MASON was born about 1803 in Magherafelt, County Derry, Ireland 2 3 and died after 28 November 1881.) |
