Mary Quigly, along with her husband and six children, were living in Bridge Street Lockerbie in 1841 when the census was taken. Mary was aged in the 40-44 years age range, like her husband, but unlike him, she was Scots born, in Dumfriesshire to be exact.

Mary Quigly, wife of Andrew Quigly, was recorded by the 1851 census for Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, living in Bridge Street. She was aged 52 years and had been born in Dryfesdale parish, Dumfriesshire. ³

Mary married Andrew QUIGLY. (Andrew QUIGLY was born about 1798 in County Donegal, Ireland ^{3 7} and died between 1851 and 1887 ⁵.)
