Cause of his death was bronchitis over 3 weeks.4 General Notes: The 1851 census for Kirkliston in West Lothian recorded John Taylor as head of a household living in Kirkliston Village. John Taylor was a married man with a small baby son. He was 33 years of age and had been born in Bathgate. As well as the small Taylor family two male lodgers in their twenties lived in the household, Thomas Murray and John Shiels. Medical Notes: Alex. Milne MD certified the cause of death. John married Catherine SANDILANDS, daughter of Alexander SANDILANDS Blacksmith and Isabel SCOTT, on 25 December 1848 in Saint Cuthbert's parish, Edinburgh, Scotland.1 (Catherine SANDILANDS was born about 1817 in Edinburgh, Scotland 1 2 7 and died 26 January 1895 at 10 pm in 147 Cowgate, Edinburgh, Scotland 1.).
