William next married Janet Gold WINTON, daughter of Thomas PHILIP and Normina WINTON, on 4 June 1897 in All Saints Church, Brougham Street, Edinburgh, Scotland.2 (Janet Gold WINTON was born 21 February 1873 at 7.30 am in Bonnyrigg, Cockpen, Midlothian, Scotland and died 16 March 1943 at 4.45 pm in 99 Lochend Road, Leith, Midlothian, Scotland 4 6 12.). The cause of her death was cardiovascular degeneration over and hemiplegia over 1 year.4


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated, after banns, according to the forms of the Episcopal Church. The priest was Alex D. Murdoch, and the witnesses were Peter McGow and Normina Gordon.

William White was a widower, recorded as 44 years of age. He lived at 2 St David's Terrace, Edinburgh. He was a glass cutter by trade. His parents, William White, a baker, and Mary Dickson were deceased.

Janet Winton was a single woman of 24 years of age. She lived at 44 George Square Edinburgh, and was a domestic servant.

The marriage was registered on 9 June 1897 at Edinburgh, Thomas Temple being the registrar.
