He marr. 22nd June 1738, Anne (died 27th July 1786), daugh. of Walter Sime, min. of this parish, and had issue Margaret, born 7th Jan. 1741; Anne, born 26th July 1743 (marr. - - Thomson) ; George, M.A., surgeon -apothecary, London, born 25th Sept. 1744, died March 1769; Walter, born 2nd Dec. 1745."

1680 appears to be a typographical error for 1690, though it makes the MA year, 1700, problematic. He was not licensed until 1734. There is a baptismal record for a child of this name born to George Chalmer in 1690, but the text of the record is almost entirely illegible. 1
