George married Daughter KEITH, daughter of Sir William KEITH of Ludquharn, Schieves and Balmuir, Baronet and Margaret BANNERMAN, in July 1642.^{1 2} (Daughter KEITH was born about 1622.)

"Considerable ambiguity exists about the name of his (George Gordon's) wife. Spalding says (Troubles, ii., 174) he married (in July, 1642) a daughter of Sir William (?) Keith of Ludquharne (whose ancestor, Sir John Keith, had been killed at Flodden)." (page 105)

George next married Lucretia IRVINE, daughter of Robert IRVINE of Fedderate and Elizabeth CAMPBELL.¹ (Lucretia IRVINE was born about 1622.)

"He (George Gordon, 8th of Gight) seems to have married as his second wife Lucretia, daughter of Robert Irvine of Fedderat by his wife Elizabeth Campbell, daughter of Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenurchy, who was married in 1621 (MS. Pedigree, by Col. Forbes-Leslie at Drum Castle)."
