Marriage Notes: "He (James Ogilvy) married, first (before 1588), Jean Ruthven, fourth daughter of William, first Earl of Gowrie, who died 6 January or February 1611 .... James, sixth Lord Ogilvy had issue" (page 122) James next married Elizabeth NAPIER, daughter of Sir Archibald NAPIER 7th of Merchiston, 'Edinbellie' and Elizabeth MOUBRAY, 1613(contract).1 2 (Elizabeth NAPIER was born about 1580.)
