Katherine married James OGILVY Master of Ogilvy, son of James OGILVY 4th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Helen SINCLAIR, before 1 October 1539.1 (James OGILVY Master of Ogilvy was born about 1523 and died 10 September 1547 (dvp) in Battle of Pinkie Cleugh, near Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland 1.) Marriage Notes: "He (James, Master of Ogilvy) had married (before 1 October 1539) Katherine Campbell, daughter of Sir John Campbell of Cawdor, Knight. His widow married, as her second husband, David, ninth Earl of Crawford, and had issue. She died in 1574, and was buried at Edzell." Katherine next married David LINDSAY of Edzell, 9th Earl of Crawford, son of Walter LINDSAY and Daughter ERSKINE 'of Dun', by 12 November 1550.1 2 (David LINDSAY of Edzell, 9th Earl of Crawford was born about 1503 and died on 20 September 1558 in Invermark, Angus, Scotalnd 2.) Marriage Notes: "David Lindsay of Edzell succeeded as ninth Earl of Crawford on the death of the eighth Earl, through the forfeiture of his son Alexander, generally known as the Wicked Master, but re-conveyed the earldom to the son of the latter. He had issue by his second wife Catherine, daughter of Sir John Campbell of Calder, widow of James, Master of Ogilvie" |
